The 60-member district Strategic Plan Committee, made up of students, staff, parents, administrators and community members, met in March to begin the process of setting district goals for the 2013-14 school year. When finalized, the one-year Strategic Focus will be posted on this website.

The PACE (Partners Advancing Character Education) program, a grass roots organization created by Central Valley, East Valley, Freeman and West Valley School Districts, will again host a "Student of Character" banquet.  One student will be chosen from each school to attend as their student of character.  The dinner and celebration is free to the student and their parents/guardians and principal.  There is an opportunty for community members and/or business owners to donate to support this wonderful event. Log on to the PACE Character Education website for more information at  http://pacecommunity.org/ 

The 50-memeber Community Engagement Task Force met in November to review goals and collaborate on viable ways to move forward with the district efforts to engage patrons, parents and students.  A representative group will present the results of the year's work at the district Strategic Plan meeting in March.
